Same Day Dental Crowns: A Case Study

Dental crowns are one of the most commonly utilized and highly successful dental treatments used in our office today. They are placed for a wide range of reasons, from cosmetic imperfections to damage and decay. A dental crown can be highly customized to your unique smile and will last for many years.

CEREC: A Solution for Dental Trauma

When a recent new patient came to our office with broken front teeth as a result of trauma, Dr. Dechter and Dr. Moy placed dental crowns to restore function and aesthetics to his smile. Using CEREC, an in-office CAD/CAM technology that allows us to place beautiful crowns the same day, this patient did not have to make a second visit for his new crowns.

CEREC technology uses digital imagery and high-quality ceramic material to create a custom-fit dental crown while you wait. Our patients love the convenience of restoring their teeth in one visit. In an emergency situation, CEREC enables us to provide superior dental care without needing multiple trips to our office. In the case of this young patient, a same-day crown “saved the day” and quickly restored the two most visible teeth in his natural smile.
